Today on the blog, I will do a full Bugaboo Bee 6 review.
I am so excited to upgrade my 6+-year-old Bugaboo Bee and do a full Bugaboo Bee 6 review. I love Bugaboo. It is my favorite stroller brand. I own a Bugaboo donkey which was my lifesaver when my children were two under 2, and I own an older model of the Bugaboo Bee (about six years old)
Before I jump into it, let’s give you some background information on the Bugaboo Bee.
The Bugaboo Bee is Bugaboo’s city stroller. It has a signature look, and it is lightweight and compact.
The Bugaboo Bee comes in both seat and bassinet options.
It is a one-piece fold, and because of its compactness, it doesn’t take too much storage space. It is perfect for city life, and I once purchased it for a few reasons:
- It was excellent for travel. I wanted something more stable and comfortable than a travel stroller
- My car was a super small city car, and I needed a stroller that would fit into it but one I could use with a newborn baby
- I lived in the city of Amsterdam
I enjoyed this stroller so much and had an excellent plus six years out of it. It saw many travel destinations and continents. When Bugaboo reached out with the question to explore a partnership opportunity with them on their new colors for their Bugaboo Bee 6, I was more than happy to, and I am so excited to look at the improvements and do a full Bugaboo Bee 6 review!
The Bugaboo Bee 6 arrives in one big box, which is easy to carry! I immediately notice adapters in the box (yeah) and a rain cover in a separate bag!
The adapters are for the improved Bugaboo Bee 6 bassinet (sold separately), so you can use the stroller with a newborn as well.
Another good upgrade on the Bugaboo Bee 6 is that it is compatible with the Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna. (I love Nuna, I owned the Pipa lite car seat for my youngest and didn’t regret it at all)
Another thing I notice immediately as well the Bugaboo Bee6 comes with bigger wheels. They have upgraded the wheels to 7-inch puncture-proof wheels.
These bigger wheels are so good, especially since I live close to downtown. Sometimes, especially in Amsterdam and Paramaribo, it was a bit hard to push with the smaller wheels on the older Bee; they tend to have their own will. With these larger wheels, you can easily take on any road!
I notice that the seat has a more luxurious look and feel than in my previous stroller. And it comes with mesh at the back.
The rotating bumper bar with a slightly leather-look finish adds more to the stroller’s luxe finished feeling. I love the bumper bar.
Another big win and a new update is the Even Better Sun Canopy! You had to buy the sun canopy separately in the former models, and now it is included, and you don’t need to take it on and off. The new sun canopy design features a peekaboo window and a breezy panel for ventilation and comfort. Perfect for the sun and UV protection.
The Bugaboo Bee 6 has a new high-performance seat fabric with breathable mesh material with ventilation holes in the seat’s back. The seat grows with your child (you can make it larger), and you can turn it into a parent-facing position or a world-facing position.
The Bugaboo Bee6 has an integrated self-stand that allows the stroller to stand independently.
Like all Bugaboo strollers, they are of excellent quality. I had my previous Bee for 6+ years and my bugaboo donkey for five years already.
The Bugaboo Bee 6 is the perfect urban stroller; it is lightweight, and you can easily fold it with one hand.
A few new colors come out this spring, which gives the Bugaboo Bee 6 an even more fabulous look than it already has.
My verdict on the Bugaboo Bee 6 is that it is a perfect stroller for parents who want a lighter stroller with the larger strollers’ function. My son enjoys his new ride, so we are both happy!
Do you own a Bugaboo stroller, and what is your favorite model?
