I love skincare, and when something new and promising hits the market, I get excited to try it out. When I heard the buzz about U beauty products, a sustainable luxury skincare brand, I couldn’t wait to try them out. As a bag-loving girl, I have followed U beauty founder Tina Chen Craig (the bag snob) on social, and I know that she is all about quality. From her skincare brand I expect nothing less than quality, and I was excited when U beauty sent me some products to try. Today on the blog, I will bring you an honest review of U beauty products. The products are a PR gift from U beauty, but I had no obligation to post them, and all opinions are my own.
Behind the U beauty brand
Tina Craig founded U beauty because she was inspired to create beauty products that optimized her routine and skincare. The goal was to create products that would eliminate so many skincare routine steps. She was motivated to minimize her environmental impact and help others do the same by designing a brand as sustainable as it is effective.
With that goal in her mind, U beauty was born.
SIREN Capsule Technology
U beauty uses the patent-pending SIREN capsule technology. Instead of most skincare formulas that release their actives all over the skin, the technology lures free radicals like a magnet. When the free radical and SIREN capsule meets, the free radical becomes neutralized, and key anti-aging actives (e.g., stable retinol, peptides, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants) penetrate the skin’s most vulnerable areas.
U beauty has sent me the resurfacing compound, the SUPER hydrator and the Multimodal Defender Broad Spectrum SPF30
Resurfacing compound
The Resurfacing compound is the product that started it all for U beauty.
At first I was very skeptical about this product because I couldn’t believe that one serum would be able to multitask like this. More than seven months later, the Resurfacing compound is one of my favorite U beauty products! It is a gel-like, very lightweight formula, and it feels so good on your skin. The Resurfacing compound is a multitasker: it brightens, resurfaces, renews, tightens, equalizes, and defends the skin in one simple step.
Key ingredients in the Resurfacing compound are Antioxidants, Stabilized Vitamin C, Stabilized Vitamin E, Stable retinol, Hyaluronic Acids, and AHA’s.
It is a pricey product but worth it whenever my skin suffers. I use it, and you see the results in a week.
The SUPER Hydrator
The SUPER Hydrator is a moisturizer that hydrates, and it is a perfect combination with the resurfacing compound. Great for fine lines and wrinkles, and it does deep ingredient delivery.
The hydrator also features the signature SIREN Capsule Technology and the brand-new, patent-pending HYDRA-SIREN Capsule; The super Hydrator delivers anti-aging ingredients strictly where the skin needs it.
I find the formula very thick and rich, and it hydrates your skin very well (up to 48 hours).
The key ingredients are purified oat extract, shea butter, peptides, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and organic argan oil.
I am not a big fan of rich creams but I know I need it during the hard winter months and this is when I enjoyed the SUPER hydrator the most.
Multimodal Defender Broad Spectrum SPF 30
The Multimodal Defender was one of the last products I received from U beauty. At first, I didn’t like it that much. It left a bit of a white cast, and I really don’t like it in products.
But as I was very pleased with the other U beauty products, I decided not to give up on the Multimodal defender, and I am very glad I didn’t.
The Multimodal defender uses the SIREN capsule technology together with the SUN SIREN molecule.
According to U beauty’s website, this is what the SUN SIREN does:
SUN-SIREN’s groundbreaking ester safely inhibits a key enzyme responsible for melanin synthesis while offering photoprotective properties.
It uses a multimodal approach to prevent discoloration before it happens while treating the appearance of damage that’s already occurred.
The key ingredients in this product are vitamin C, Zinc Oxide, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Shea butter, Jojoba, and Almond oils.
I use the MultiModal defender daily during the day, and it really helped me with my hyperpigmentation. The trick in using this product is that a little goes a very long way, and you really have to massage it into your skin to get rid of the white caste. I love that it also protects me from the sun while working on the previous damage to my skin.
U beauty Products review The Verdict
I promised an honest review of U beauty products, and all I can say is that I love these products. The products have sustainable packaging and are clean. U beauty products also do what they promise to do; the clinical results speak for themselves.
My absolute winner is the resurfacing compound, but if you are not new here, you know that I am a serum enthusiast. Second place is the multimodal defender and I am so happy that I decided not to give up on this product. My face had some dark spots, and it really cleared them. These 2 are products that I will be buying for sure.
The SUPER hydrator is a great moisturizer, but I prefer serum-infused creams or gel-based creams more.
A con with U beauty products might be the price. I can’t decide for someone else if it is worth it or not. Keep in mind that the resurfacing compound is many products in one that would justify the price for me. The multimodal defender works miracles; if you have hyperpigmentation, acne scars, etc, trust me, you would do anything to get rid of it, so for me, it would justify the price as well.
What do you think of this U beauty products review? Have you ever tried U beauty products? What are the products you would love to try?
